American Princess Coming To ITV2

American PrincessStart practising your curtsy and polishing those tiaras, as this January ITV2 begins a brand new search for an American Princess. This year the search has gone stateside as 12 women compete for their chance to earn a cash prize of $50, 000, as well as the much coveted regal title. American Princess is brand new and exclusive to ITV2, Tuesdays from 8 January at 8pm.

This year the competition will be presented by Yugoslavian royal and actress Catherine Oxenberg. Paul Burrell, former butler to the late Princess Diana and Jean Broke-Smith, one of the UK’s leading etiquette and grooming expert return as judges and each week they will invite a guest panellist to help them assess the wannabe princesses. Guest judges will include OK! magazine’s editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens, Access Hollywood co-host Tim Vincent and Royal Correspondent James Whitaker.

Princess training begins in London, but the girls soon move across the pond and settle in an £40 million mansion in London, and it is here that the competition really heats up. Each week the contestants will be judged on a skill deemed essential for an American Princess, such as correct posture, cooking, acceptable dining and dancing etiquette, and media awareness. There will be a weekly competition for the girls such as a military assault course, performing ballet at The Royal Opera House and hosting a tea party complete with croquet and cricket. There will be prizes for the winners such as dining in top restaurants alongside some of the UK’s most eligible bachelors as well as attending royal functions. However, those that lose the challenge will receive a suitable punishment, such as cleaning the kitchen so it passes Burrell’s strict white glove test. The final reprimand will be total expulsion from Princess Bootcamp and a return flight home to America.

Contestants this year include Clarissa, 26 a former beauty pageant competitor from the Bronx who is convinced it’s her turn to take home the crown. Jasmine, 22 from Orlando is the ultimate tomboy and admits that she doesn’t even own a dress. Nakia, 30 from Texas is a former stripper and determined to earn the Princess crown, as well as a better life for her and her child, and the baby of the group is 18 year old Tara from Pittsburgh who has a staggering IQ of 137.

Join ITV2 this winter as 12 ordinary ladies search for the happy ever after ending that girls worldwide dream of. You may even find out exactly what is needed to find your very own Prince Charming.

I would like to comment on the american princess, in which Clarissa was evicted at the last post. I feel that you have been very unfair and once again the BLONDE hair BLUE eye girl was picked , there is no way that no matter what happened, she would have been crowned.

The judges especially James who you could clearly see disliked Clarissa and all Black contestants, nothing they did would have been good enough for him !!!

Clarissa was speaking from her heart but thatwas not recognised by James he was too critical of her. James needs to be educated on Equalities and until that happens he should not be allowed to take part in any reality shows where Black people are taking part.

Clarissa should have been crowned American Princess, as she really was geniune, the winner Cassie did not have the quality to be aa princess, as if you can not interact with people how can you take on a major role as a princess, as this needs someone who is able to interact with all types of people, and just having blonde hair and blue eyes willl not help her in that capacity.

Please when you make reality shows make the presenters, judges, etc, be real and not fake and have everything staged, as with American Princess.
I do not believe that anyone else really had the chane of winning as Cassie was the bonde, blue eye lady then she was always going to be choosen, which makes a real mockery of the show!!!!

I would appreciate a reply to my email as I feel very strongly that you only have Clarissa in the final three as a token Black person, which is unfair..
