America’s Got Talent 2011 Results: Landau Eugene Murphy Jr, Lys Agnes, Poplyfe and Professor Splash make it but Sh’Boss Boys make us cry!
The America’s Got Talent judges cast their vote once more on last night’s results show and this week, they have chosen another four acts to progress to the upcoming semi final stages.
However, the most heart wrenching moment of the night was when the cutest child we have ever seen, thought he and his childish rap group Sh’Boss Boys had made it through to the next round. The youngster let out a squeal of delight, on to have to endure groans of sympahty, as host Nick Cannon was forced to explain his true fate. The boy was going home.
The biggest decision of the night came when the panel had to choose between the two death defying acts of the week. Seth Grabel had performed an escape trick, while hanging over a vat of boiling tar, while Professor Splash had dropped 36 feet to belly-flop in a pool just 12 inches deep.
Sharon loved Grabel and voted to send him through, but it was Professor Splash who won out after securing the support of both Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel.
Earlier in the night, the judges had made singers Poplyfe and Landau Eugene Murphy Jr sweat by pretending to choose between them, before revealing that they had both made the cut. Oh the drama!
Osbourne was particularly thrilled that both the group and the solo artist had made it and raved:
“I was really really worried to see these two going head to head with each other, so I am absolutely delighted for both of you because you’re two different musical genres.”
“There is a place for each one of you in the music industry today and I feel so strongly that both of you are going to be in the final.”
Monet, The Captain & Maybelle, Mauricio Herrera, Purrfect Angelz, Ian Johnson, Summerwind Skippers, Sh’Boss Boys and Seth Grabel were all sent home on the hour long show.
Landau Eugene Murphy Jr, Lys Agnes, Poplyfe and Professor Splash will join Daniel Joseph Baker, Anna Graceman, Miami All-Stars, Silhouettes, Snap Boogie, Sandou Trio Russian Bar, Steven Retchless and Smage Bros. Riding Team in the upcoming semi-finals.
