Argghhh! What have we done to the children?
It’s not often we share a personal story with you on the reality TV blog, but after 3-4 years of blogging about reality TV, we’ve clearly permanently damaged our children.
I came into the living room the other day to discover our two eldest kids (aged 7 and 5) sitting watching a recording of Dancing With The Stars. Both had pencils and paper in front of them and they were busy recording the judges’ scores for each dance. It was hilarious! One said to the other: “Did you get that last score?” “Yeah, I think it was 8.” “OK, ” she said, and started scribbling down the score and totting them up for whoever the contestant was.
It was almost a mirror image of Lisa and I sitting watching X Factor and trying to decipher Judge’s comments as we furiously write up each episode! Clearly, the kids are going to be awesome reality TV reporters when they grow up. I’m kind of worried that the daughter is going to want to be a WAG when she gets older though…
Anyway, the question is: should we issue them with computer accounts so that we can do twice the blogging by making the kids do the work too?

Hello Lisa and Gerard,
Just think of it like this maybe when the children are a bit older you might get to watch a programme without giving a commentary and the children could do it instead. You can then relax and have a teabreak.
