Badger Or Bust Returns In May

Badger Or Bust - Ruth BadgerBADGER OR BUST is a new six-part factual entertainment programme, following Ruth Badger’s fearless attempts to turn some of Britain’s most struggling sales teams into winners. Visiting a different classic sales business each week, such as a double glazing company and an estate agents, The Badger gets very swiftly to the heart of the problem and wastes no time telling the boss where they’ve gone wrong and how to fix it - if she fails, her reputation and their jobs are at stake.

Ruth Badger said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be working with Sky One again in a brand new show, the difference is this time I put my money where my mouth is in Badger or Bust. This is the real test for me, I claim to be able to increase sales in any business!

“So, in at the deep end, any business that is struggling, I roll my sleeves up and ensure that they perform. Either way, kicking or screaming, I get results!”

Badger or Bust will air from Tuesday 8th May, 9pm, Sky One

As the owner of a small hair and beauty salon I am glued to any program that looks at improving businesses.

I am introducing this week what I refer to as ‘the badger board’ which will list sales for hair products, new clients, no. of clients, rebookings, beauty referals with targets against each. These targets are already on staff performance objectives but I think having the up and visible will help.

I’m also going to doin some peer observations using a video camera and use as a training tool.

I’ll let you know how it goes

If you fancy the challenge of a hair salon (small backwater) I would be up for it!

    Warm regards

    Hi
I was a Managing Director of a large IT software company in South Africa for 10 years.
(All references of me available with regards to company newsletters, photos of the management team and financial performance)
I started and built the Cape Town Division alone and when I left permanently for England I had employed 35 staff. My financial figures, set of Books and sales team where one the best in the company. I was known as the ice maiden and pulled no punches.

I have watched quite a few of your shows and I think you are unique
in that you hit the problem bang on the head, however your swearing is totally unnecessary.

I would love the opportunity to work with you and your Clan (a group of Badgers) which will give you the opportunity to bounce ideas with somebody neutral but highly effective and creative.

I have had one job in England which I got although I have no England work references (100 applicants) and I more than doubled any previous sales record at that company. With my South African accent I secured on average two new accounts a day. (I get those few extra special seconds of attention on the phone because my accent is different but clear and precise and I use those seconds well)

I left after 18months to join my husband helping him to run a small but successful IT business. We have been in England for 7 years now.

However I am itching to get back into the business you do, I am 50 years old but everyone says I look 40.
Please see me, I know you will see a great opportunity for a Cub (Baby badger) which I know will be of mutual benefit and bring a different edge to your unfailing success.

PS I think Alan Sugar made a huge mistake!

    Thank you
    Sincerely
    Theresa Howard

I love Badger or Bust! I was glued to it, as I was setting up my own business at the time. Is there going to be another series?
