Big Brother 2008: Day 50 Highlights!
Day 50
11.29am: Some of the housemates are in the living room talking about Rex. “Rex doesn’t need to moan”, says Lisa. “He’s got a great life, a beautiful girlfriend, a wonderful family. He doesn’t have to stay here”, she continues. Lisa then goes on to add that all Rex’s moaning is fabricated. Luke agrees, “I think if he wanted to go, he would have gone by now”, he says.
12.59pm: Darnell and Kathreya are in the living room discussing evictions. Darnell thinks that as Mario, Lisa, Rex and Rebecca have been saved in past evictions it means they all have a lot of fans. “They’re all going to be voting against me”, he says. “It is quite possible that I will be out of here”, he adds.
Luke and Rebecca are in the bathroom. Luke is telling Rebecca that a lot of people will be shocked by his antics in the house. “They’ll say, ‘I didn’t think you had it in you Luke’”. Rebecca admits that all her friends would be shocked that she went with someone like Luke. “I bet you any money, you were probably the last person that everyone thought I’d go for”, she tells him. “Over the gay guy”, Luke responds.
Rex in the Diary Room talking about who he thinks might be evicted. “I think the person who’d make the least impact if they left would probably be Mo”, he says. He adds that Darnell can always be heard, always singing and making things up whereas Mohamed tends to sulk a lot. “We were very close friends. We still are friends but it’s rather difficult. Mohamed finds it hard to speak his mind and it’s a bit of a one way friendship”. Rex also adds that the less time he spends with Mohamed the more distant their friendship becomes.
1.47pm: Some of the housemates are in the garden. Rebecca is telling them that she might leave the house in a bin bag if she were evicted. “That would be brilliant”, says Rex. “You get the headline ‘Rebecca is Rubbish’”, he adds.
Darnell, Kathreya, Mohamed and Michael are at the sofas. Mohamed tells Darnell that he is “gagging for a cigarette” implying that he is asking Darnell for one. Darnell tells him that he “doesn’t give a f**k”. Mohamed tries to offer him some cheese for a cigarette but Darnell won’t give him one. “You’ve smoked four out of the ten bags I brought”, he tells Mohamed who denies this. Darnell tells him he knows that he did and if Mohamed is going to deny it he should get out of the room. “Seriously, don’t push me”, Darnell says. Mohamed tells him that “its bullsh*t”. Darnell responds with, “I don’t smoke, I brought it in as currency” and tells him to get out of his face. Darnell walks into the garden calling him a “f*****g a*****e”.
5.23pm: Dale has been told by Big Brother that as Head of House he must organise entertainment for the rest of the housemates. Failure to do so will result in serious consequences. Dale tells the rest of the housemates that Big Brother will reward the most entertaining side, heaven or hell, with a party.
Housemates are in the garden. Luke and Rebecca have painted their faces green. Stuart grabs Luke and throws him in the pool before doing the same to Rebecca. Rebecca still fully clothed and still in the pool proceeds to strip. “No Rebecca, no”, shouts Luke as he tries to get her to cover up with his t-shirt. All the other housemates are laughing. “We’re not going to win if you get your t**s out”, says Dale.
Lisa enters the garden. She has put her hair in pigtails and coloured some of her teeth black. “What’s so funny”, she asks the rest of the housemates.
Lisa goes back to the bedroom where Kathreya, Rachel and Sara have dressed in similar outfits to her. All four girls look and scream into the mirror.
Luke and Rebecca are in the luxury bedroom. Rebecca still has no clothes on other than her tights and knickers. Luke is telling Rebecca to put some clothes on. “We need to be entertaining”, she says. Luke assures her that they are being but Rebecca grabs him and gives him a kiss. “Tell me Rebecca, you did not just do that”, says Luke.
7.07pm: All of the housemates are at the sofas. Dale asks the rest of the housemates who they all want to win the show. Rex, Darnell and Rachel say Kat. Dale says that all of them are winners and all the other housemates laugh and tell him to get off the fence. Lisa, Sara, Michael and Rebecca say Luke. Luke agrees before changing his answer to Rebecca.
Conversation changes to who the housemates think are the most disliked in the house. Luke tells them that he thinks its Mohamed. Rex and Maysoon think its Rebecca.
7.20pm: Big Brother has alerted housemates to the open store room where they can collect this weeks shopping which Dale completed. Housemates from hell run to the room to grab the shopping and the ten mystery prizes they bought. Prizes include a fake poo, a rubber ring for the pool, 216 eggs and a voucher for one housemates from hell to spend the day in heaven. Mohamed opens the voucher but all housemates agree that Sara should be given the chance to spend the day in heaven.
Rebecca and Luke are in the luxury bedroom talking about the revelations that people think Rebecca and Mohamed are the least liked housemates. “Rachel and Kat basically said they don’t like us”, says Luke. “Bex, if you go and I’m up for eviction, I’m saying goodbye as well”, he adds.
9.21pm: Most of the housemates are in the living room. Sara has been provided with a video camera and holiday clothes after redeeming her heavenly day trip voucher.
Dale is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother. “Dale, Big Brother does not think you have been entertaining in the house”, announces Big Brother. Dale tells Big Brother that he doesn’t want to be entertaining as he wants to be put up for evictions. “I find it so hard because I don’t want people to think what a great leader he is”, says Dale. “I need to p**s people off”, he adds.
10.16pm: All of the housemates are in the living room playing a drinking game where housemates must pass an orange to each other without using their hands. As a forfeit for dropping the orange Luke’s fellow housemates have told him he must either drink a sip of cider or an egg. After refusing to do both Stuart tells him, “You must snog Rebecca then”. He agrees and kisses Rebecca as the other housemates count down from five.
Next the orange is dropped by Dale who takes some of the egg. He quickly throws it back up. Mohamed is next to face a challenge after dropping the orange between himself and Michael. After refusing the egg he too is challenged to kiss Rebecca. Mohamed proceeds to kiss Rebecca to the other housemates’ cheers. Luke watches silently.
11.07pm: All of the housemates are in the living room playing a game of tug of war over the heaven and hell divide. Heaven wins. Big Brother starts to play music into the house after housemates redeemed a music voucher they brought as a mystery prize. All the housemates start dancing whilst Dale films it on the video recorder.
11.28pm: Mohamed is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother. “I’m looking forward to tomorrow”, he says, talking about the upcoming eviction. “I think I might be going and if not me I probably think Rebecca”, he admits.
Dale, Rebecca and Stuart are in the luxury bedroom talking about Luke. “He’s not the type of guy I’d normally go for”, admits Rebecca. Stuart notices Luke in the garden on his own and asks him what he is doing. “I’m waiting to talk to Mo”, says Luke. Stuart reports this back to Rebecca who doesn’t believe that he is.
11.42pm: Luke and Rebecca are in the luxury bedroom talking about Rebecca’s kiss with Mohamed. “I’m gutted”, says Luke. “I didn’t find it funny. It’s fine, we’re just friends”, he continues. “If I did it with Sara, how would you feel”, he asks. “I’m sorry”, Rebecca says giving him a hug. Luke repeats that its fine and they are just friends and so she has nothing to apologise for. “I’m just disappointed”, he adds. Luke tells her they should just go back into the living room and enjoy the night as it could be Rebecca’s last. “I’d rather stay in here”, she tells him before admitting that she does really like Luke.
