Big Brother 2012: Confusing Cuisine task is underway! Who’s going to spew first?!

UPDATE 5:20pm – Conor has won a special prize at the conclusion of the Confusing Cuisine task after his fellow housemates deemed him the winner after he stoically downed a minging and ancient egg (the truly icky kind they have on I’m A Celebrity). Click here to see exactly why he won, and man, he deserved it!

His prize was to have sole charge of the shopping list next week and several of the housemates are very, very unhappy about that!

Big Brother really can be quite evil at times, and today, with the announcement of a mini-task, he’s proving just how twisted he can be, given that most of the housemates feel a tad fragile today…

Most excellent!

Entitled, Confusing Cuisine, the housemates were first alerted that a new task was in the offing at around 2:30pm when the living area and kitchen were out of bounds.

Soon after, Big Brother provided a costume of a white shirt and black tie for Caroline, who’s exempt from today’s task as she’s feeling unwell.

So, with Caroline appointed waitress, everyone gathered as the rules of the task were read out, and they’re pretty simple; each housemate must eat one of the dishes that BB has lined up.

Easy no?

No, because the dishes that look like they’re going to be nice – such as cakes – are actually made of something truly revolting. In turn, items that look as if they should be horrendous, such as a pig’s head, are actually not bad at all and more like a treat than a punishment…

Here’s what BB’s website says of the task…

13 dishes will be served up, one per housemate (with Caroline, working as the waitress, being exempt), and Big Brother will ask them to select their meal before the chow-down begins.

Unfortunately for our meal-eating friends, this won’t be a case of straightforward gluttony. The food that looks the most delicious will, in fact be completely heinous, while the grub that looks revolting will actually be far more pleasant than first appearances suggest.

Will those who ‘take one for the team’ keep it to themselves that their food wasn’t quite so bad? Or will those eating the disgusting but pretty dishes give the game away by retching in a frenzy?

O this is going to be good, but I’m gutted that Caroline’s not doing it. It would’ve been comedy gold if her hysterical reaction to having to eat a fish eye last week was anything to go by!

We’ll keep you posted on how they get on.
