Yesterday was of course the first time that the Big Brother housemates have experienced a proper nominations day, and the mood in the house could be summed up in three words – stress, angst, and paranoia.

However, one housemate spent the whole day determinedly and doggedly ignoring the tension, and announcing to anyone that would listen, “I don’t give a f**k mate.”

That housemate was Arron Lowe, who, in a fit of irony, of course ended up facing eviction this week alongside his co-conspirator – albeit not in a voluntary capacity, since he had the offending banger forced upon him – in Sausagegate, Chris James.

When BB first announced the results of this week’s nomination, Chris made no attempt to hide his upset and visibly slumped in his seat, immediately prompting words of encouragement and murmurings of support from those in his vicinity…

But when BB read out Arron’s name, he jumped up and yelled to Chris, “Yes! Y’know why? Because I think the public love you, and I could do with getting out of this place.

“Come and give me a hug, bro, we can do it!”

However, Arron’s positivity was to be short lived. More about that in a mo, but first, here’s how everyone reacted to the news of the nominations reveal…

Back to Arron, and later on in the evening when the news had had time to fully impact on him, that spirit of joy turned to misery as he said, “I’m s**ting myself because I’m up against Chris. He’s funny. I’d want to watch him.”

Meanwhile, outside, Shievonne  - who seems to be rather much like s**t in a field when there’s a drama afoot; that is, unavoidable – was counselling Chris after he told her he was sure he’d be offski on Friday.

Of being up against Arron this week, he told her, “Male model, man…”

But the ever solicitous Shievonne advised, “Be yourself because if you go out as a moody g*t you’re going to be thinking, ‘I should have enjoyed myself.’”

She then concluded that just in case he does go, he should “fart in a jar so I can remember you.”

Nice.
