Well, ok, perhaps “fairytale wedding” doesn’t lend itself to being in the same sentence as “got married at Durham registry office,” but nonetheless, the bride and groom looked beautiful on their big day.

And as we reported yesterday – which was their wedding day of course – the caring sharing couple tweeted and updated their fans throughout the ceremony and in fact, the entire day.

They even streamed footage of the day live via their own website, and uploaded pictures of themselves and their wedding guests throughout the occasion.

For those of you who don’t know, Jay and Louise first met during Big Brother 12, which was of course the last airing of the show on Channel 4. Channel 5 of course subsequently bought up the rights to air BB for at least the next few years…

However, while in the house, Jay and Louise rapidly became an item, sharing a love of farting, burping and toilet humour, and those are the ties that bind, apparently.

But getting back to their big day, Louise tweeted, “Thanks for all your lovely messages, havin a amazing time x.”

And Jay – who invited Geordie Shore buddies Jason ‘Jay’ Gardner, James Tindale and Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle to the wedding – tweeted that he was “sh**ting himself.”

Hopefully, he didn’t but who knows.

In terms of BB romances, theirs was of course not the only one; Big Brother 3 contestants Sophie Pritchard and Lee Davey married in 2003 and later had a son Max, but sadly, they split up three years later.

Big Brother 7 housemates Mikey Dalton and Grace Adams-Short married in 2009 and now have a five-month old daughter.
