Yesterday in the Big Brother house, Day 24, began ever so well and just got better when the treats Conor had ordered on the shopping list arrived…

And – get this – everyone played nicely with the new toys! Yes there was actual peace and a coming together via the medium of garden sports, including swing-ball, table football and big box of doughnuts.

But of course, it couldn’t last, and indeed it didn’t, because when Ashleigh discovered that Lauren had two packs of cigarettes whereas the other smokers had one each, she objected strongly.

As Lauren tried to point out that Conor had ordered two packs for her because some of the cigs that were cut up as part of the task were among those that Lauren had originally brought into the house, and therefore bought from her own actual cash money, Ashleigh refused to even listen…

She told Lauren, “Yeah but all of us smoke Lauren, all of us smoke!”

Lauren persisted in the “Yeah but Conor said…” line of defense, eventually telling Ashleigh, “You’re not even a proper smoker Ashleigh!”

Ashleigh’s eloquent response to being accused of not being a “proper” smoker was, “Oh f**k off.”

After the row spilled out into the garden – the scene of such recent happiness, alas and woe – Lydia advised a time out, and declared, “If I stay in tomorrow, I’m going to get everyone together.”

Seriously, is there nothing that Lydia can’t turn around into being all about her??

She continued, “If they do want to win then they shouldn’t do things like laughing and singing before the eviction announcement, and being insensitive during tasks.

“I don’t think it is coming across very well to the public.”

And you would know this, how? My god.

However, to get back to the original point of this article, is Lauren right to be aggrieved that part-time puffer Ashleigh took her to task over her two packs of cigarettes?

Or is Lauren in the wrong for having two packs while everyone else has one?
