Big Brother 2012: Sooo, Benedict Garrett’s gone; glad or sad?
As fans of Big Brother will know, last night Benedict Garrett became the latest evictee from the famous house, and he made the most dramatic exit of the series, having hoisted a swivel chair aloft before seating himself on it as the BB doors opened…
And, like a terribly well dressed removals man, he then carried the chair all the way down the stairs, where a waiting security man relieved him of his swag.
Why did he nick a chair? Well apparently, it’s because Bit on the Side presenter Emma Willis asked him to steal something from the house, so he did. And fair dos.
But not content with nicking a chair, Benedict also fired a parting shot at nemesis Luke S by saying, “Sorry about the curry Luke” before he left the house…
He was of course referring to the fact he’d put curry powder in Luke S’s prized protein shake powder.
The confession prompted what can only be described as a wall of rage among the remaining housemates, but more on that in this article.
Sooo, what I want to know is, are you glad or sad that Benedict’s gone?
I’m sad because – aside from the fact he’s s**t hot to look at – I think he genuinely had far more to offer in terms of drama and entertaining viewing than Lauren does, who, though undoubtedly a nice enough person, spends most of her time in tears, and debating why it is that nobody likes her, which is tedious.
And what worries me is that people are voting to save based on whether they like a housemate, or not as I suspect was the case with Benedict, which leaves us in danger of ending up with a house full of Yes men and women who wouldn’t say boo to a goose…
Which will be terminally dull.
Why do you think Benedict left and Lauren stayed? While you’re mulling that over, here’s a reminder of the moment Benedict heard he was outta there…

I thought he was brilliant. It’s just that the voters are young and dumb. They wouldn’t recognise talent/intelligence if it hit them in the face!
He shouldn’t have left as he was totally being himself, his diary room episodes were fantastic, and most of all he is utterly gorgeous!!
