Big Brother 2012: Were Caroline’s tears over Adam real or crocodile? And who’s leaving tonight?
In last night’s Channel 5 Big Brother highlights show, we saw housemate Caroline Wharram given a formal warning by BB after having called Adam Kelly “a gorilla” and – though she didn’t earn her warning for this – declaring he’s “unsanitary”.
She made her remarks having become angered with Adam after he spun her – in her opinion – too fast on the roundabout during the ‘100’ task when she had to eat a jar of pick ‘n mix while sitting on said roundabout.
During the task, she told Adam he was “a bully” for spinning the roundabout too fast, then began crying with a total lack of tears.
However, later on, when BB called her into the Diary Room and told her that using the word “gorilla” in relation to Adam could be deemed offensive, she wholeheartedly apologised then later still, apologsised to Adam in person…
She told him that she’s become so irate with him during the roundabout task because it brought back “terrible” memories of a time when she was bullied at school…
She told him she was sorry that she’d called him a bully, then, sobbing as tears wrecked her mascara, added, “I must be a bully…”
Now what I want to know is – as per the title of this article – were they the first genuine tears we’ve seen, and genuine emotion, from Caroline, or were they yet again merely part of the persona she’s portraying in the house, which is to be a ditzy but harmless posh girl?
And of course, with it being eviction Friday, the other question is, who’s offski tonight – Lydia or Deana?
I think it primarily depends on whether voters are going with their head or heart in as much as, in terms of being dislikable, I think Lydia is thoroughly dislikable due entirely to her king sized ego, so that may cost her her place in the house.
As to Deana, she’s nowhere near the drama queen that Lydia is, and therefore doesn’t create a whole lot of drama herself – it just sort of happens around and to her – so voters may prefer to chuck out annoying Lydia…
But if that’s the case, will the house be a touch more mundane if Lydia goes? Whereas if Deana goes, will it have any palpable effect on events?
My jury is still out and I really can’t call it this week, so please do let me know who you think will go and why.
