Big Brother 2012: Yay! Channel 5 to launch voting via Twitter, but boo! Have they ditched the live feed?

Given that Big Brother 13 launches in just a few days – on Tuesday at 9pm on Channel 5 to be exact – there’s plenty of news around about the show, but it seems that the behind-the-scenes folks are struggling to get everything ready to go.

The main issue presenting the show’s production team with headaches is that of the voting via Twitter that’s been mooted following the success of last year’s Facebook voting.

However, the app is apparently still in need of work, and among the various “bugs” the techies are trying to iron out in their darkened room is that Twitter users will only be able to vote once per account.

And another issue that’s causing some confusion and indeed consternation among fans is that the promise of a live feed on Channel 5’s sister channel 5* doesn’t appear among the listings for at least the first two live eviction shows…

As fans may recall, during the last Celebrity Big Brother, whenever someone was booted out, we could flick over to 5* to watch an hour’s worth of the aftermath, and the same was promised for this year.

However, Channel 5’s final listings for Friday 8th and Friday 15th June state that the regular show will air between 10.00pm and 11.00pm, followed by Big Brother’s Bit on the Side. There’s no mention of a live feed on 5*.

But we will of course be keeping an eye on that and will let you know if the situation changes.

In the meantime, we’ll be bringing you all the news and gossip about the show right here, so call back often y’all.
