Brave Omid Djalili hurtles from 10 metre board on ITV’s Splash

Omid Djalili seemed to have less fear than any other celebrity when he took part in ITV’s Splash this evening.

The comedian watched as his fellow stars dived off the three and five metre diving boards during the first live show of the series and decided to move things up a level and perform a swan / crucifix dive from the ten metre board.

Tom Daley praised his fearless nature and the star looked nervous but determined as he inched to the edge of the board just a few minutes ago.

Like most of the other celebs, he over rotated and landed badly, however it was by no means the worse entry of the evening.

Judge Andy said he was on the ‘edge of his seat’ and expected it to go ‘horrible wrong’ but he was impressed by Omid’s decision to go from the top deck. Leon said ‘I cannot believed you have been off the ten metre….you cannot go higher than that.’ Jo Brand called the dive ‘beautiful’, adding ‘it was the most majestic turkey I have ever seen being fired out of a cannon.’

The panel scored Omid 23/30 and the comic hopes he can make the semi final. Do you think he can do it? Leave your comments below….
