Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Amanda Holden won’t be a “notch” on Simon Cowell’s bedpost!
In his biography about Simon Cowell, author Tom Bower claimed that Simon Cowell had bedded the majority of the women in the UK – all except me sadly – including former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue.
However, according to BGT judge Amanda Holden, nobody will be making any revelations about her and Simon because she doesn’t intend to become “another notch on his bedpost.”
Speaking to the Sun, Amanda said, “I’d never be another notch on his bedpost. I’d very much rather be his friend because friendship lasts longer.
“We get each other. We always have a laugh together. I make him laugh and he makes me laugh. That’s why I’m still here.”
She added, “Simon won’t let the book affect who he is and dampen him down…
“He’s a fighter — he doesn’t like people who keel over.”
Amanda went on to say that she doesn’t necessarily believe all the claims made by Bower in Sweet Revenge – The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell.
She said, “I found it surprising — but he’s taken it all in his stride.
“I don’t judge him. I’m his friend. Simon keeps his very good friends close and his enemies closer.
“He’s probably felt embarrassed at the start but then embraced it.”
He embraces everything apparently, with the exception of marriage, and Amanda thinks he’s unlikely to ever tie the knot, having ended his engagement to Mezghan Hussainy.
She said, “He’s just not the kind of person marriage suits. It is not for him.
“He can just as easily live with someone and love someone without having to be married to them.
“I do hope that when he decides not to be in front of the camera and sits behind it instead, he’s got someone to go home to and say, ‘What a great day it’s been’.”
