Britains Got Talent: Sauris Nandi Reach Semi Final

Sauris was born in Calcutta and has always had a deep interest in magic. When he was growing up there were a lot of street magicians he used to pass on his way to and from school and he became intrigued by the magic to the point where he just had to find out the secrets behind the tricks and when he left school for college he joined them and performed street magic himself.

He studied medicine at university in Calcutta before moving to the UK as a junior doctor in his early 20s. Over here he studied surgery at Edinburgh University and was a surgeon for many years before taking a radiology degree and finally becoming a consultant radiologist in Wales. During this time Sauris continued performing magic at charity events and has raised over £50,000 for local charities over the years. He also invents tricks and has kept that hobby going to this day. Recently Sauris has mainly performed close up magic and smaller tricks at events, although his heart is truly in big illusions, because now he is retired and living off his pension he can no longer afford to pay for assistants for his illusions.

He is very much looking forward to auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent because his heart is in performing but if he wins the cash prize he will donate it all to charity (his local hospice).
