Former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here contestant, Nicola McLean has revealed that she fears she was to blame for her recent miscarriage.

The glamour model, who already has two children with footballer husband, Tom Williams, suffered a miscarriage after her 12 week scan showed that the baby’s heart had stopped beating around 3 weeks earlier, at a private clinic in Harley Street.

McLean announced the sad news in an OK magazine interview, where she also revealed that the pregnancy itself was a huge surprise and that she feared having consumed alcohol before she found out she was pregnant, may have been the cause of the miscarriage.

McLean, who was in this year’s series of Celebrity Big Brother, told the magazine: “I went for my first scan – my 12 week scan – at a private clinic in Harley Street a week ago and there was no heartbeat.

‘The doctor told me that the baby’s heart probably stopped at nine weeks.”

She went on to say how she was “absolutely gutted”, but that she and her husband were grateful for the two healthy sons they already had.

Speaking to the magazine, the reality star explained how she feared the miscarriage was her fault after a boozy night out before she found out she was expecting, saying:  ”I did worry but it was only one night and I didn’t know I was pregnant.”

Of that night, in which the papers printed pictures of her looking very drunk, McLean insists she only had two glasses of champagne.

McLean took to social networking site, Twitter, to thank all her fans for their kind words and support yesterday, saying: ’Thank you for all your kind words Your all lovely it’s sad to hear so many others have been through the same thing [sic].’
