Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Former TOWIE star, Maria Fowler was turned down to appear on show!

Oh dear, this really hasn’t been the best year for former TOWIE star, Maria Fowler, has it?

First she was axed from The Only Way Is Essex after her sparring partner, Kirk Norcross, quit the hit ITV2 reality show to take pursue other projects, then she was stuck in the middle of a Twitter war with X Factor’s Marcus Collins after he branded her a homophobic racist when they met at a Desperate Scousewives event, then she entered into another Twitter war with the entire world after questioning why Muhummed Ali needed an aid to help him stand, and now it has been revealed that despite offering herself on a plate to Celebrity Big Brother, they turned her down for this year’s series!

Now, here at Unreality TV, we actually like Maria Fowler, and have to say that all the things she finds herself being slated for, really don’t appear to make her a bad person, just an easy target, but even if you don’t like her, you have to admit that given her feisty nature (something that Kirk will no doubt vouch for) she would have made an excellent Celebrity Big Brother contestant!

However, it would seem that bosses at the Channel 5 reality show do not agree, as after practically going down on bended knees to secure herself her first TV job since being booted out of TOWIE, she was told that the show had put a ban on anyone from The Only Way Is Essex taking part this year.

Maria took to social networking site, Twitter, to reveal that she had approached the producers of the show, but that they turned her down, tweeting: “[I] would to have gone in but they said No towie this year. Booo xx (sic).”

She then went on to reveal that  when current housemate Danica Thrall, who appeared in Sex, Lies and Rinsing Guys, won beauty pageant Miss Derby, she was judging the contest and helped her win, tweeting: “When [Danica] won miss derby I was judging, she hadn’t actually won on points. But I kicked off as she was by far prettiest. So she won (sic).”

Before adding: “Shame she lowered herself to a ‘rinsing’ programme but each to their own. She’s a stunning girl (sic).”

Since Big Brother moved to Channel 5 last year it has housed two former TOWIE stars, Amy Childs and Kirk Norcross, and there had been rumours circulating that this year current The Only Way Is Essex ‘star’, Lauren Goodger, would be taking part.
