Bianca Gascoigne and Callum Best Win Love Island 2006
It was a surprise result! If I had put money on the result (and I’m glad I didn’t) I would have picked Kelle Bryan as the winning female on this years Love Island.
Any fool could have guessed that Callum Best would win, he is handsome and chivalrous. Callum Best could melt the heart of even the frostiest female! He certainly melted mine when he dirty danced with Kelle.
But Bianca Gascoigne? She is a nice girl and I think the result will do wonders for her self confidence, but I just didn’t expect her to win.
Brendan Cole looked gutted with the result, he was easily the most competitive man on the island, and the one person who really really wanted to win. Not only did he not win, but he didn’t even get a girl!

Alicia- the ultimate brainless and horrendously freakish Duvall did Bianca Gascoinge the biggest favour ever by stating that she was “one cupcake away from obesity.”
I am convinced that she riled a nation of normal non stick-esque people so much that they thought they’d show their solidarity for Bianca by voting for her and showing how sick they are of the celebrity and fashion industry notion of having to be 5 stone to be beautiful.
Fair play to Bianca. At least that will boost her confidence.
Personally though, I thought that Kelle would have been a most deserving winner and I am a little sad that she didn’t take the crown. Throughout the series Kelle has been the most down to earth and “normal” person there. She stuck to her principles, which was very refreshing to see and showed us that has a celebrity you don’t have to sign up for a life of debauchery, drinking, drugs and sex.
Out of all the celebs on the island she is the perfect role model for young people and girls today. Showing you can be stunning gorgeous and sexy and be a genuinely nice person to boot.

i fink bianca was rite to take the crown wit callum they suit!kelle wo jus borin n bossy! brendon was to controllin n lee wo cryin too much!callum is soooooo fine n bianca is not obese n any one who says it is jealous cause she n callum had a fing goin on! the twins emma n eve were the biggest bitches eva n eve had no chance wit brendon!coleen is such a player n they call callum best 1 she is pretty though n she n chris suit very well but she shouldnt have led poor lee on like that! If as i have just read that the makers of Love Island are going to do next years similar to Big Brother using no celebrities then they will lose my viewing. This year I think they picked totally the wrong people, ex junkies and ex alcoholics, 2 feeding off the fame of parents? Kate Lawler was the most natural, Kelle was the rock to them all, but being the prop to them didn’t have as much happiness as she should have, Lee was a boy amongst men. Paul, he has a lovely smile his whole face lights up when he is genuine. Brendan, Sophie, Bianca and Chris were so false and up their own backsides. Alicia ugh she was so ugly, Colleen well is she the Marilyn Monroe of today all that moaning, though it was funny the way she did her vowels teaching the other girls how to moan sexily with the use of the vowels. The twins were ok. Callum and Shane both the best of the men, though Paul good too. Kate and Kelle should have won with Callum.
