With Love Island 2006 set to start tomorrow, the production team behind the show are in a state of panic. The set for the show has yet to be completed with major sections of the beachside complex not yet finished.

“There is still so much to do that everyone’s working round the clock,” a source told the Daily Star. “It’s a bit touch and go at the moment - let’s just say nails are being bitten to the bone. We can’t delay the start. The deadline is fixed. Fingers crossed it’ll all be in place.”

An ITV spokesman insisted, “Love Island will look beautiful. We’ve not been able to get in for four days because of rehearsals. But inside it looks gorgeous. Love Island is known for its stunning location and rest assured we have pulled out all the stops this year.”
