Channel 4 Announces Second Series Of Secret Millionaire
Channel 4, has announced that there will be a second season of the hit documentary series The Secret Millionaire.
The first series of The Secret Millionaire was the most popular new series on Channel 4 in the 9pm slot last year attracting audiences of 3.5million.
The Secret Millionaire has proved to be a popular and surprising way of giving viewers an insight into some of the most important social issues in Britain today. Each week, a different multi-millionaire guarantees to give away thousands of pounds of their own money. They agree to live for ten days in some of the UK’s most deprived areas. During their stay, they search for people whose lives they can change for the better. They conceal their true identities and their wealth in hope that being anonymous means they will be better placed to find those people that they think really deserve their help. On the last day of their visit, in an emotional climax to each episode, they reveal their secret and write their cheques.
This new six part run is due to start filming in spring and will broadcast later this year.

well done channel four best program in a long time those millionaire’s are the salt of the earth but have you noticed it is only the self made ones doing this and not the others god bless them and may their million,s multiply
I believe that shows like this hold the greatest value as one who has been homeless close people in my life taking everything I owed (should have my own show “the sorriest woman in the world,” people would be entertained they wouldn’t believe that one person could survive so much) This is the work of great people creating great lives for others GOD BLESS YOU SO MUCH
Outstanding; Human beings acting human? The fact that all Millionaires are not selfish greedy slobs is a given, they didn’t all inherit the millions they have. The most generous of them slowly acquired it and as such feel they should bless others out of proper upbringing,. I would like to take a moment and thank the parents of those who are willing to do this kind deed. PS I often have done this for people and I am not a millionaire, The best time I have ever had is giving at Christmas,to strangers and their children. The warmth that touches my heart NO Money can buy..Great Job.. Every time I watch your new show, I’m sitting crying. I have had a rough 4 years with my own ups and downs and your new show has given me the faith again. I have moved two severaL STATES FOR MY JOB IN THE LAST 3 YEARS. oNLY TO FIND MYSELF NOW OUT OF A JOB AND USED TO MAKING GOOD MONEY NEVER HAD TO WORRY ABOUT FOOD OR A ROOF OVER MY HEAD OR EVEN HOW i WAS GOING TO PAY FOR MY CAR. Thanks to Bush, I am receiving unemployment that would have been exhausted and look at life because of your show alot different. With the holidays coming up and all the people having to watch TV with all the families opening up gifts and eating wonderful food with the family laughing and having fun. It just breaks my heart I don’t have the palne ticket to back to Oregon to be with my family. I’m alone. I even pleaded with my friends to exchange xmas cards only three have out of atleast 20 I sent e-mails too. I am so humbled because I to had to go and get food stamps and use the food pantry and go see about help on my heating bills. How humbling to say the least. I am considering helping out at our local soup kitchen, but I don’t know if I can walk into that situation quite yet. Your show has should me go do it and help others. Thank Secret Millionaire for a wonderful show, I won’t miss an episode.
I hope people read this and share there experiences in life.
