Chantelle Houghston admits life is hard since split with Alex Reid!

Newly single Chantelle Houghton has revealed that she is struggling to cope now her fiancée, and baby-daddy, Alex Reid, has left her.

Cage fighting Alex, and columnist Chantelle, have plagued the headlines since the announcement that Chantelle was expecting their first baby together.

Having already had several breaks from each other both during the pregnancy, and in the short months they were together following the birth of their daughter, Dolly, Chantelle finally kicked the cross-dressing Katie Price reject to the kerb last week, and who could blame her!

Throughout their turbulent relationship, Alex has upset his pretty fiancée repeatedly, all be it from his cross dressing ways to his tantrumous behaviour, and far from being supportive or sympathetic to her needs, former Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Houghton was forced on two separate occasions to leave their family home and sleep on the floor of her unfurnished flat, WHILST PREGNANT!

Things came to a head between the two stars last week when Alex was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and using violence to secure entry to the couple’s joint property.

However, whilst the rest of the world can see that in the grand scheme of things Chantelle is better off without him, she has admitted in her weekly magazine column that she is finding it hard to cope with being a single mum, or accepting that the relationship is over, since he has left.

Speaking in her New! magazine column, the pretty reality star: “It’s been a very difficult week, as I’m sure people will understand.
“It’s only been a matter of days since Alex and I split so it’s still very raw and I am really, really upset.

“I tried everything in my power to make my relationship work.

“I have been trying to keep myself busy with Dolly – after all, she is the most important one in all of this.”

However, Chantelle has quashed fears that this set back may trigger her previous eating disorders, by revealing that since the split she has had little time to cook whilst being a full time single mum, and has resorted to a diet of takeaways:

“People have said I’m looking slim, but I don’t know why because I’m living on takeaways!

“I love Nando’s, Indian and Chinese food and pizza … I just don’t have the time to make dinners from scratch.

“When I was pregnant, I read a book that suggested I make dinners and freeze them for when the baby’s born. It would have been a good idea!

“I was a size 10 before I got pregnant and now I’m a 14.

“My belly’s really flabby, but I really don’t care right now.”
