Girls Aloud hit the road tomorrow for the first concert of their big assed reunion tour and it seems that spending all that time together rehearsing recently has really brought the group closer together.
Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts reformed at the end of 2012, to release a greatest hits album and a new single for Children In Need and this week they begin their sold out arena tour which will bring them up and down the country.
The shows kick off in Newcastle on Thursday and Nicola admitted last night that something (it sounded like something embarrassing) happened during their dress run, which only deepened the bond between her, Kimberley and Cheryl. She teased on Twitter writing:
“Mine, Cheryl’s and Kimberley’s friendship just went to a whole new level ! Wooooow to the motherf*cking zerrrrrrr #werenotlookingkimbahonest”
We would so LOVE to know what happened but secrets like that probably won’t come out until the ladies next appear on The Jonathan Ross show!
Chez seems pretty pumped about the tour and admitted last night that she was a big ball of adrenaline. She tweeted:
“Just did our first dress run!! My adrenaline is pumping!! Doubt ill sleep now”
Kimberley will be glad when the concerts start, as she’s been torn in two of late, splitting her time between her Girls Aloud commitments and the promotion of her own new album ‘Centre Stage.’
She told her followers: “So dress run is done!!! Time to get this show on the road I think! Newcastle here we come…….. #tentour”
“So, here we are packing again. THIS TIME FOR TOUR!!! I can’t believe it. Xxx”
An excited Sarah later tweetedHarding also seemed to be buzzing and tweeted her fans last night saying:
“Nite nite to my gorgeous and dedicated Lil hardcores! Cant frikkin wait to be back on the rd and c u all again finally! S’been way too long!”
It is all that’s on her mind today as well and she added:
“opening nite!!! #morethanreadyletsavvvit!!!!”
“Morning!!! Busy day today packing for #tentour! #excitingtimes! Xx”
Cheryl recently told Digital Spy why she’d agreed to be part of the reunion tour, saying:
“Girls Aloud is me, it’s where I come from.
“I’ve had ten years of success. The fans of my [solo work] are Girls Aloud fans. Some of them were 7 at the time and now they’re young women. I’ve got a lot to give back.”
