Cheryl Cole ‘sobbing’ over Girls Aloud split – Sarah Harding says ‘be strong’
Cheryl Cole has admitted that she is very upset over the recent Girls Aloud split announcement.
The former X Factor judge wrapped up her band’s reunion tour in Liverpool this week and shortly afterwards the group’s official Twitter page confirmed that they would be going their separate ways and Girls Aloud are no more.
Nadine Coyle latre distanced herself from the decision, revealing on Twitter that she wanted to keep working with her pals but claiming that she couldn’t convince them to stay with the group.
However, it seems that Cheryl hasn’t taken the news in her stride either and last night, after a fan sent her a link to an ‘open letter’ they had penned for the singers, she replied:
She then sent a picture to bandmate Nicola Roberts which showed a cute puppy dog and the caption ‘I need a hug. Do you need a hug?’ and added:
Nicola told her followers:
“Forever Alouder’s, Thankyou from all the corners of my heart. You made my dreams come true when I was so young, we are a decade in and you’ve given us more than I ever imagined. Memories & Dreams that I will hold in my heart forever. Sisters who I will never let leave my side.”
“Who only could have known how crazy our journey would be but we have the best fans in the whole wide world beside us. This is true. Today has been teary and my eyes are swollen. Its the start of a new chapter, lets smile and celebrate what we did together..”
“Love u. Forever an Alouder. Nicola x”
Sarah Harding told her fans to be strong and wrote:
“#bestrong We have all shared the happiest days of our lives. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried and we’ve all grown together as a family….”
“You all mean so much to me and you have given me the dream, I thank you all so much more than u will ever truly know… Now is the start of a new, amazing journey and who knows what the future will bring?!But i love you all and always will plz never forget it!”
Kimberley Walsh continued:
“To our Alouders, Just wanna say please don’t be sad today we have had some amazing years together and we should be celebrating the incredible memories. I will always be there for you all and I know you will for me. This is just the beginning of a new journey and it’s gonna be fun. Love you all for your unconditional support 💋”
As we reported yesterday it seems that many fans are blaming Cheryl and her successful solo career for the Girls Aloud split.
