Cheryl Cole will join Gary Barlow for Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert
Stars are veritably lining up to take part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert, and the latest addition to the list is former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.
And according to the Daily Mirror, there’s a chance she may duet with current X Factor judge Gary Barlow, who is of course organizing the whole shindig.
In addition to any duet though, Cheryl will sing her new track, Call My Name, which she’s also performing on tonight’s The Voice.
A show insider told the paper, “There are already huge names appearing on the bill but Cheryl is the cherry on top.
“She is one of the biggest stars in Britain and will ensure young people tune into the concert…
“She doesn’t do many live appearances but when Gary asked her she couldn’t turn him or the Queen down.
“She is promising a spectacular performance and I am sure the Princes will all be happy she is on the bill.”
So will Rihanna, if she happens to be there, because the US popstar has nothing but praise for our Chezzer.
While discussing the rumour that Cheryl may be joining the judging panel on American Idol, Rihanna told the Daily Star, “I can completely see why the producers at American Idol are trying to get Cheryl – she would be amazing.
“She was received so well on the US X Factor and most people couldn’t really understand the decision to let her go.
“Since then she has gone from strength to strength, and is fast becoming a movie star over here.
“I don’t know if Jennifer (Lopez) plans to stay another season or not but Cheryl would be a great replacement for her.
“The only thing Cheryl needs to consider is that it’s so time-consuming.”
Haway pet, it’ll be reet.
