Choose The Winner Of My School Musical On Disney Channel!

Over the past few months Disney Channel’s My School Musical has captured the imagination of kids’ across with the UK with a staggering five thousand entries submitted. With the finale now in close sight, viewers can vote for their favourite short-listed semi finalists from the 28th March until the 17th April with the final winners being announced on the channel on the 25th April

My School Musical has seen Disney Channel scour the UK for fresh and exciting new talent across three special categories – “singing”, “dancing” and “performance” – all with a High School Musical twist. An astounding 5,820 video entries have been uploaded to the competitions dedicated microsite, www.myschoolmusical.co.uk where the best have been whittled down to three semi finalists per category. The channel has already seen over half a million kids vote for their favourites to get to the semi final stages.

Now the final three semi finalists from each category will get to perform their act on Disney Channel. The final for the “performance” category will be tonight on 28th March, the “singing” category on 4th April, and the “dancing” category on the 11th April (at 4.50pm and repeated at 5.20pm). and viewers will have one week to vote for the final winner in each category, by registering their vote at www.myschoolmusical.co.uk

The overall winner in each category will be announced in a grand final, which will be broadcast on the channel on the 25th April, prior to the British television premiere of High School Musical 2: Dancealong. The channel will arrive on the doorstep of each winner with a crew to capture their reactions.

My School Musical is presented by Brad Kavanagh from As the Bell Rings and Samantha Dorrance, winner of last year’s High School Musical: You’re the Star. Brad Kavanagh comments: “We’ve been amazed at the reaction to the My School Musical – it’s brilliant that kids are following their dreams and entering their talents. The competition to get to the semi final stages has been immense and we can’t wait to see who the public decides should win.”
