Gizzi, Harry, Sal and Sophie are four new cooks who regularly have their cake, eat it and still manage to look good. Armed with their skinny secrets, they’re helping disillusioned dieter Annie Christensen, to drop a dress size in six weeks without giving up her favourite foods. She can’t resist roast dinners, pasta Carbonara, chocolate bars and apple crumble, so can the girls come up with tasty skinny versions? They also show viewers what to buy when they’re suffering from a snack attack. Plus, a slimming CD goes on trial, but is it a miracle cure, or just a big fat fib?

Looks like this might be an interesting programme.

But would you trust a skinny cook for a good meal. MMM ? ?

    Newcastle.

  2. Lisa McGarry says:

I don’t think any of these cooks are skinny as far as I could see. In fact they seemed to have nice figures, slim but in no way skinny. It gives me hope! LOL!

  3. jane Clarke says:

A really interesting programme. I loved all the dishes and plan to start experimenting today.Non of the presenters were skinny, they all looked very healthy. A good advert for the show.

You can buy the book from amazon, same title as the show for the recipes. I’ve already ordered mine! But I missed the first episode because my boyfriend said “I’m not watching some weight loss show” so annoying as I was really looking forward to it. Does anyone know if they are airing the first episode again and when?

  7. John says:

Loved your programme. What a change to see really healthy people. I am struggling to lose weight which my doctor has asked me to do. But Oh! At an age when I now appreciate food it stays on my hips (and all over). Cant exercise more because I have ME/CFS. P L E A S E Just how do I find your recipes on line?

The programme didnt say right until the very end that the lady dropped clothes sizes by working out as well. It is quite misleading. If you are working out regularly and arent hugely obese then u can eat more or less what u want.

  12. kondor says:

An amazingly simple idea really isn’t it.

Most food is bland, so to get satisfaction from it we end up eating too much of it. Diet food generally tries to emulate the same flavours as the bland food and ends up being, well just bland and not satisfying. What these girls seem to be saying is smack your taste buds with such intensity that you do not need a lot of it to get some satisfaction from putting it in your mouth.

Make it sweeter, more savory and less calories. So you end up eating less quanities of something which is lower in calories anyway. Cracking idea.

  13. John Flynn says:

I agree with everything you’re saying guys but re exercise, it’s recommended to keep a healthy stable body fullstop. If you’re exercising your body will work a whole lot better (icluding digestion and distribution of energies). If you burn 2000cal a day when exercising and only consume 1000-1500cal of good hearty well cooked food then the maths do themselves! The book is excellent!
