Dancing On Ice: Tara Palmer-Tompkinson desperate to take part next year!
As the Dancing On Ice selection process prepares to start, it would seem there is one person who is DESPERATE to be picked, Tara Palmer-Tompkinson!
The socialite, who has frequently been linked to a cocaine habit and who has had several stints in rehab in order to kick her addiction, is apparently trying to put her troublesome past behind her, and thinks that securing a place on next year’s series of the hit ITV2 skating show, hosted by Olympic skating legends, Jayne Torvil and Christopher Dean, will be just the right platform to re-launch her floundering career!
According to the Sun newspaper, Tara Palmer-Tompkinson, who caused a controversial media storm earlier this year when she slurred repeatedly during a radio interview, has been getting in some ice skating practice at a London ice rink, hoping to attract the attention of the show’s producers.
During the BBC Radio 5 Live broadcast in March, listeners commented how Tara sounded “wasted”, however the IT girl insisted that she had been sober on social networking site, Twitter. However, she later posted another tweet in which she said she had been abroad to “get some good help”.
Dancing On Ice bosses are currently in the process of testing contestants and will pick those with the most potential for the series in January next year.
A source said: “Tara is really keen to get on board and has been applying herself to learning the skating basics.”
