Former teenage heartthrob, Donny Osmond, has insisted that he has to beat his sister’s record when he appears on Dancing With Stars.

Donny’s sister Marie finished in third place in the fifth season of the show, her most memorable moment being her faint at the end of a samba performance.

Donny told Entertainment Tonight: “People will come up to me and say, ‘Don’t faint!’ Do you know how many times I’ve heard that in the last two years? I’m thinking about doing a whole dance number doing nothing but fainting!

“But if I do half as well as my sister, I will be happy. She did such a great job and set the bar really high for me. I can’t let my sister beat me! Which is why I have to do this!”

He added: “I finally gave in [to Dancing], but here’s the problem – the timing couldn’t be worse! I’m doing a full production show in Las Vegas every week and I’m doing Dancing With The Stars on top of it. I must be an idiot!”
