Dancing With The Stars Final: Where did our Katherine Jenkins come?

Last night saw the 2012 Dancing With The Stars final, and this year Britain had its very own representative in the form of Welsh Opera singer, Katherine Jenkins.

Jenkins had battled throughout the series and had well deserved her place in the final three alongside NFL star Donald Driver and actor/model William Levy.

In what has been described as an amazing final, singing sensation, Jenkins, came a very respectable second with professional dancing partner Mark Ballas, who called her “an angel” during the live show, whilst Levy came in third, leaving the glitter ball trophy to be lifted by Driver.

Katherine had received huge support from fans both sides of the pond, and before the show she took to social networking site, Twitter, to thank fans for their support, tweeting:

“Not long til the results… Whatever happens, just want to thanku for all your love and support – u couldn’t have been more wonderful!

“And of course,no matter what, a humongous Thanku to my partner @MarkBallas for his patience, hard work & above all, great sense of humour!”

Speaking of her experience on the show after the results were announced, Katherine said: “It’s been an absolute dream.”

She then took to Twitter again to tweet to fans: “Being runner up on DWTS feels pretty amazing…Thanku to all who voted to put us 2nd! I never would have thought this possible at the start!”

Donald Driver won the competition with professional dance partner, Peta Murgatroyd, and after winning, he commented: “Amazing. This is awesome. Thank you so much!”

In a VT before her final performance, Katherine welled up and said: “It’s just been an amazing time and I’ve loved every minute of it.”
