Dancing with the Stars 2012 result: who left? Gladys Knight (VIDEO)

Who can believe we are already into week 7 of Dancing With The Stars?  Well, to help you believe it, here is a recap of week 6′s Motown night theme, and the results!

During Motown nights extravaganza of fabulousness saw performances from  AT&T Spotlight profiled ballet dancer Michaela De Prince, who danced to Natasha Bedingfield’s ‘Wild Horses’, as well as legendary 90′s Motown singing sensations, Boyz II Men also making an appearance, delivering a rendition of new single ‘One More Dance’ from their album Twenty.

But whilst all the dancers gave it their all, one couple had to become the fifth celebrity to leave season 14 of the US version of Strictly Come Dancing, and that person was…. Gladys Knight.

The iconic singer and professional partner,  Tristan McManus found themselves in the bottom two alongside Disney star  Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower when results came in.

Knight said: “I am so just amazed at this journey, it’s been absolutely extraordinary, I learnt so many things, found so many friends and family and I’m just so overjoyed.”

The humbled singer also commented that the decision was right as other couples were  ”stepping up way, way, way beyond what’s already been on this show”.

In their final, competition saving performance, both couples took to the dance floor to simultaneously jive to Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ to decide who would stay another week, and who would hang up their dancing shoes for good.

The decision was in the hands of the panel, who chose to save  Fegan and Hightower based solely on the ‘dance-off’ performance, with Tonioli given the casting vote.
