Here comes the ride! David Van Day (Dollar, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Bucks Fizz) will host Wedding TV’s new reality series Brides on a Bus as the bus conductor, this February.

Exclusive to Wedding TV, Brides on a Bus is a reality format to fall in love with. The 11-part UK Premiere series will see ten brides-to-be travel the length and breadth of the country on a traditional double-decker bus, as they compete to win a wedding in Gretna Green. David Van Day will be onboard to bring viewers all of the drama as it unfolds, both on and off the bus.

The bus will travel from Lands End to Gretna Green and a host of locations in-between, where the prospective brides will complete some of the best challenges Britain has to offer. Whether it be sheep-herding in Devon, cheese wrapping in Somerset or playing football with a Premiership player in Blackburn, the brides-to-be will have to prove their worth if they are to win the much coveted wedding at the end of the competition.

Ten finalists were chosen from hundreds of entries and not only will the girls be competing against each other, they will be living together for the duration of the trip. An added pressure will be the chance for the girls to vote each other off the bus and out of the competition, with David Van Day delivering the devastating news to the booted bride. Competing brides-to-be include the girlfriend of a world champion kick boxer, a 45 year old Welsh lady and a brown belt karate expert with six kids!

Throughout the series, Wedding TV will visit The Eden Project, Cardiff Blues Rugby Club, Cotswolds Wildlife Park, Blackburn Rovers Football Club and the nation’s top Indian restaurant in Birmingham.

The wedding prize will include full service at the beautiful Anvil Hall, followed by the reception at the Gretna Chase Hotel where they will have the complete works including free accommodation for their immediate wedding party. Veromia will dress the bride and her bridesmaids, plus jewellery, cakes, flowers, the groom’s attire, the DJ and Rolls Royce transport will all be provided. Everything to frame a wonderful wedding day and a fantastic end to a must-see series.

David Van Day said “Not since the jungle have I had so much fun filming a TV series. If you thought I wound them up in there, then you’d better hold on tight for the Ride of a Wifetime as I test these brides in their quest for their ultimate goal; winning an all expenses paid wedding. As the saying goes there are no free lunches and there certainly are no free weddings either, as these girls will have to fight to the end to win a wedding in Gretna Green.”

The series was entirely produced by Wedding TV. For more news follow @bridesonabus at Twitter.com
