Fans of the Nolans will be very pleased to hear that despite her recent resignation from ITV’s This Morning, Coleen Nolan will not be off our screens for long, as she has reportedly signed up for this years Celebrity Big Brother!

According to reports in the Sun newspaper today, Nolan, who used to be married to EatsEnders actor Shane Ritchie, will be following in the footsteps of her former Loose Women co-host, Denise Welch by entering into the iconic Channel 5 reality TV house when the show returns to our screens later in the year.

Channel 5 are hoping that the presence of Coleen and her outlandish opinions – she famously enraged ex husband Ritchie by offering to pay for a prostitute for their son, Shane Jr, if he passed his GCSE’s, will ignite a spark in the house, and have offered her a six-figure deal to do so.

A show insider said: “Coleen gives good chat and that’s what we’re really looking for on the show.

“She also appeals to women so she’s a great booking for the show.”

Nolan left the panel of Loose Women a year ago and has been presenting This Morning’s Hub strand since, quitting last week much to everyone’s surprise.

She said recently of her decision to quit: “It’s all starting to get crazy again – I’ve got loads of exciting things coming up.” – and now we know what!

So far the celebrities linked tot his years CBB are former Coronation Street legend, Julie Goodyear, who played the iconic Bet Lynch in the award-winning ITV soap, and Justin Bieber’s dad, Jeremy.
