Four Weddings Episode 5: Clips & Previews

This week’s first bride to be is sports trainer, Mandie, who invites her fellow brides to a farmyard ceremony and reception. The brides are impressed by the ‘transformation’ from barn to wedding venue; however, the first impression doesn’t stick, with rival Sharon declaring “it’s a bit in your face, not my cup of tea at all.” Mandie’s competitors are again not overly impressed by the lack of guests, making the venue look empty and sparse. On reflection, Donna concludes “It’s been nice, but nothing out of the ordinary.”

Next to tie the knot is 28 year old Stacey, who has entrusted her wedding reception to her mother. Having arrived at the big day, Mandie notes that she would have “brushed past Stacey’s dress in the shop”. Onto the secret venue, Stacey and her newly wedded husband don eye masks. Once in place, Portsmouth FC is revealed as their reception location. During the food, Stacey’s guests are given memorabilia football shirts, emblazoned with the wedding date, once again Mandie is not enthralled and soon starts to wind Sharon up, thanks to her consistent moaning, “Mandie is a pain in the arse!”

Our last wedding of the episode is that of white witch, Sharon. Arriving for the pagan ceremony on the back of the bike, the couple then undergoes the traditional hand-fasting and jumping the broom. To get into the spirit of the day, Mandie has made a special effort to look the part wearing her very own pagan headdress, but as Stacey rightly puts is looks more like Wonder Woman. Judging Sharon’s dress, Mandie continues with her negativity “looked very Morticia, you know Adam’s family, it was nice but not fantastic.”

Will Sharon have bewitched her competitors into scoring her high? Will Stacey’s secret venue score her the winning goal? With four very different weddings, but which bride will walk away with the honeymoon of their dreams?
