Geordie Shore: “American’s hate us” and Vicky dishes the dirt on her relationship with Ricci!
It would seem that the cast of Geordie Shore are not as popular as they might have hoped as, having just returned from filming their latest series, filmed on location in Mexico, it has been revealed that the Spring breaking American’s they found themselves sharing the Island of Cancun with, hated them!
According to reports in the Metro newspaper, whilst the likes of Australian and Canadian tourists, who were familiar with the show, welcomed their drunken shenanigans, the American’s looked on in disgust!
“But we got on well with the Australians and Canadians as they get the show and had seen it. The Americans just thought we were a copy of their series Jersey Shore and got very patriotic.”
Whilst the UK waits in anticipation for the new series to air, the cast are on hand to assure viewers that this new series is going to be the most intense to date.
“It’s probably the wildest series we’ve ever done, we had tears, tantrums and lots of tequila,” Gaz teased.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he continued: “[Spring Break] was like freshers week at uni. The Americans especially go completely mad. As they can’t drink until they’re 21 in the US, this is the first time they’ve experienced alcohol and they go totally wild.”
The promo for the new series was released on MTV a few days ago, showing the gang trashing their villa as well as arguing and bed-hopping as standard!
There is even a scene in which James is seen being tended by an ambulance….. we can’t wait!
Speaking of the surprise location, Vicky said: ”We all thought we were shooting in Newcastle but I had an inkling it might be somewhere sunny as we’d gone to Magaluf last summer,”
“Then Anna, our boss in the show, told us we were going to work for six weeks in Cancun instead, and we were all dead excited.
‘The villa out there was amazing. It was totally trashed by the end, mind. Cancun makes Magaluf look like Skegness – let’s just put it that way.’
One of the highlights viewers can look forward to is the surprise engagement (well, about as surprising as Mario Falcone and Lucy Mecklenburgh‘s on The Only way Is Marbs) of Vicky Pattison and Ricci Guarnaccio, during the Newcastle groups summer filming.
Now back at home, Vicky has vowed to quit the show that has made her famous if it threatens her relationship with Ricci, saying that from now on he will always come before the show, according to reports in Metro newspaper.
“We will never knock Geordie Shore – it’s how we met and it will always hold a special little place in our hearts. Still there will come a time when we can’t do it anymore.
“It’s not the ideal place to see a relationship flourish. It was really testing for us to be there. I’m not just thinking about myself in there, I’m thinking of Ricci too.
“I will always put our relationship before the show. If there comes a time when it’s not good for Ricci and I and we are doing ourselves no favours then I would leave. You have got to think what’s most important and it’s my relationship with Ricci.”
Geordie Shore Chaos in Cancun will be shown over eight parts, during which viewers will be treated tot he moment when Ricci dropped to one knee to pop the question to Vicky, which was the highlight of the trip according to his new fiancée.
Vicky said: “It was the highlight of my holiday. Ricci was so nervous but I had no clue what was happening. We were sat in the restaurant, I turned around and I saw a plane going through the sky with ‘will you marry me’. I turned back around and Ricci was on one knee. It was absolutely perfect. He is a lovely person.”
The couple have yet to set a date for the wedding, but have planned their engagement party for October in Jesmond’s As You Like It.

“There’s even a scene where James gets tended to by an ambulance.”
That doesn’t sound overtly wild. How about a scene where James is rushed into emergency surgery to remove an axe from his torso…now that would be entertaining.
