Girls Aloud To Find Sixth Member Through Reality TV Show
UPDATE: Girls Aloud have since denied this rumour. They released a statement today saying:
‘The story is completely fabricated. As Girls Aloud, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle have become one fo the country’s best love groups,’ said a statement released this morning.
‘They have no desire to change the line up. Over the last six years they have scored a record breaking 17 top ten singles and performed three sold-out arena tours around the UK.
Girls Aloud, Britain’s biggest girl band, are reportedly planning to go all Pussycat Dolls and recruit a sixth member of their band through a reality TV show.
The five current members, including X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, will all sit on the judging panel of the show in which they audition hopefuls and grant one the chance to appear live on stage with the band.
A tv insider told The Mirror:
“The winner will get to perform with the group on stage during a one-off concert, but the girls hope they’ll be able to discover a hidden talent who could join the band as a fully paid-up member.
It kind of makes you wonder if one of the girls is planning to leave the group. Maybe Cheryl wants to become a TV judge full time, or maybe Nadine wants to move to LA and chase some more Hollywood actors.

Or it could be Sarah wanting to go solo, it has been reported she is working ona solo album. Interesting.
It certainly does make you speculate that instead of reading
in a newspaper that the group is breaking up that instead they
need a new member. I feel they should find two new members.
Nadine Coyle is the singer in the group and I feel certain she
could have a solo career. A solo career in contemporary music.
Cheryl is obviously making a go of a temporary career as an
X factor judge in the wake of Sharon’s departure and this is
secure for as long as the show is aired.
So the safest thing girls aloud can do now is recruit two
new members.
