Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole vows no more tattoos & declares love for Nicola Roberts!
Cheryl Cole has insisted that she’s finished with getting tattoos and will never get another inking on her body again.
The former X Factor judge showed off a huge design during the first night of the Girls Aloud ‘Ten: The Hits’ tour which kicked off this week but revealed afterwards that the tenth piece of body art was to be her last. Perhaps that’s why she got one that was so HUGE!
The brunette beauty modelled a whole host of revealing and sexy costumes during the group’s first concert in a number of years and the crowd in her hometown of Newcastle seemed to like what they saw. Her newest tattoo was prominently on display, and features a stunning but massive rose which covers her lower back and was seen clearly as she wore a cropped top and tutu during one number.
Chez had previously had a small butterfly inking on the same spot but had this new one covering it, to celebrate the reunion of her reality TV band, who were formed almost exactly ten years ago.
Some fans didn’t like the tattoo and there have been varied responses on Twitter but Chez told the Mirror that she likes it, explaining:
“There’s no particular reason I had it done. I just wanted to and I liked the design.”
The singer travelled to be worked on by Californian tattoo artist Nikko Hurtado who tweeted after their latest session saying:
“Man is she a tough cookie”.
Cole admitted that it took more than 15 painful hours to complete the work of art and the tattoo cost her around £2,000. Which let’s face it is a splash in the ocean for the wealthy star.
“Nikko is the most amazing artist. It took 15 hours and was really painful.”
But she promised fans:
“I’m done with tattoos – it’s my final one.”
However she could be persuaded to change her mind and get one last mark, as she recently tried to convince her bandmates to get matching ones to celebrate their reunion.
Kimberley Walsh isn’t sounding too keen and laughed:
“They all thought about it for a bit but were too scared and changed their minds.”
“Maybe just a tattoo dot like Phoebe in Friends.”
Matching body art or not, it sounds as though they are all getting along anyway and while Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle were seen partying until the wee hours together a few nights ago, Chez has been publicly expressing her love for Nicola Roberts online. She tweeted:
“I think I fall a little more in love w my girls everyday today it is esp @nicolaroberts You are so beautiful & special to me i❤you #tentour”
Awwww how lovely.
