Former Geordie Shore star, Greg Lake, has landed a new reality TV gig, taking part in Celebrity Salon!

The Irish reality show follows the paths of celebrities, including Brookside actor Philip Oliver and Big Brother contestant Nikki Grahame as they try and make it in the world of beauty therapists.

Greg, who quit Geordie Shore before the second series when the producers of the MTV show said they wanted more drama, has said that he much prefers his new Celebrity Salon role, telling the Sunday Sun:“The show was completely different to Geordie Shore,”

“In Geordie Shore, I was doing things that really weren’t for me. I’m not a big drinker and the show really wasn’t for me.

“Geordie Shore changed my life, but I’m glad other opportunities came up.

“I have a bit more of a laugh in Celebrity Salon and people will see the real Greg. People haven’t seen my true personality.”

The show will be aired on Irish ITV in September and is also in talks with English Channel 5 to bring the show over here.

During the filming of the new series it was reported that Lake had begun a relationship with former contestant, Irish model, Nadia Forde, and despite the fact that he returned to Newcastle last week, he insists that the pair are still in contact.
