Having never auditioned together at Bootcamp the Judges decided to pair these two because they felt they shared an innocent chemistry and charm. As one of the youngest pairs in the competition they are hoping that their warmth and likeability will shine through enough to crown them as the perfect Danny and Sandy.

Danny Rhodes, 22 and a student and waiter from Southend-on-Sea is hoping to take his positive feedback from the judges and put that into his performances.

Having suffered with a stammer for most of his life Danny has taken the brave decision to go to America and undergo a specialist operation to try and reduce his stammer.

His partner for the show, Lauren McConnell and he have already performed together at Bootcamp singing ‘Against All Odds’ and now they pair up again for the live shows.

Lauren McConnell, a 16-year-old student from Sussex has never had any theatrical training but gave judge Sinitta goose bumps when she auditioned for Sandy.

Currently studying for her GCSE’s, Lauren is focused on her dream of winning the role of Sandy.

“It’s a dream and when you have a dream you go and get it, so that’s what I want to do,” says Lauren.

“I am young and so I can be taught easily and I am willing to give everything a go and be the best I can be.”
