The BBC are going to face a very angry public if they put Francesca Jackson through to the live shows of I’d Do Anything, as the 23 year old actress is a good friend to one of the judges.

Jackson has previously played Denise Van Outen’s lesbian lover in West End musical Rent last year. She has also shared a flat with former Maria winner, Connie Fisher.

A BBC spokesman said: “Francesca got there on merit.

“The public will decide who wins.”
