I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here: Is Tory MP Louise Mensch heading for the jungle?
As the jungle rumours regarding this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here begin to do the rounds, this one is quite possibly one of the most bizarre of the lot!
Apparently, bosses of the hit ITV reality show want to sign up outspoken Tory MP, Louise Mensch for this year’s line up following her sensationally exit from the Commons.
This gave ITV the green light to approach the author of Chick lit, who once famously claimed that class A drugs had messed with her head.
Producers of the show believe that Louise with her no tongues barred attitude, would be a great personality to have in the jungle this year, according to the Sun newspaper.
A show source told the paper: “Louise is outspoken, glamorous, fiercely independent and highly intelligent. She would be fantastic viewing.
“She is very much on our wish list for this year and we would love to get her on board. But it is very early days and nothing is confirmed yet.”
Mensch, who was elected an MP in 2010, had previously complained that she had been overlooked for parliamentary private secretary roles, claiming that it was sexist to “trivialise a woman politician based on her appearance”, adding: “Everything I said was washed away under the fluffy bunny of things.”
She then found herself a victim of internet trolls after having a torrent of online abuse, sexist insults and even threats of death on social networking sites such as Twitter.
Tweeting about it to her followers at the time, she said: “Women too often shamed into silence. Sod it.”
