You may now wee with excitement because Channel 5 have announced that the first of this summer’s two editions of Big Brother begins on June 5th at 9pm!

And at 8pm, just to get us in the mood, Jamie East will be guiding us through footage of some of the best and worst audition tapes.

But back to the big news, it came just a few minutes ago when bbuk tweeted, “It’s official – Big Brother 2012 launches on @channel5_tv on Tuesday 5th June at 9pm. RT if you can’t wait !#bbuk”

Brian Dowling, Emma Willis, Alice Levine and – as mentioned above – Jamie East are all returning this year to present the brand new series of Big Brother and Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, and just a few days ago, they all posed for the rather glam photo above.
