Jade Goody Sparks Gay Row
You would think that Jade Goody had courted enough controversy in her time, but after her new reality TV show aired on Living last night some of her comments have brought in complaints from the gay community.
Former Big Brother and Celebrity Big brother contestant, who is now being treated for cervical cancer, Goody complained that people would assume that she was gay if they say her with: “Timberland [boots], baggy jeans, and a big shirt with short hair or a bald head”.
TV presenter and gay rights supporter Amy Lamé branded her comments “distasteful”, telling The Mirror: “Does she really think that’s what all lesbians look like? It’s a completely old-fashioned, clichéd view. Does she really think she can get away with being homophobic like that?
“She’s just managed to offend and insult not just lesbians but any woman with short hair including those who’ve lost their hair from disease, including cancer.”
She added: “You’d think she’d have more important things to think about than making a reality TV show and worrying about her hair.”

I am a Grandma (not a lesbian) and I have short hair. I am not a homophobe but when my daughter had her hair cut we all laughed that people would think she was a dyke. If I said she looked like an eskimo in big boots I suppose that would offend the Innuit people. No it only offends the PC gone mad brigade. Leave Jade alone, she is just an ordinary lass and I doubt she is racist or homophobic, just uses the language she grew up with like the rest of us.
