We’ve heard Katie Price spout many excuses for her outrageous behavior over the years, but this has to be the first time that she’s claimed to be brainwashed.

After marrying her cage fighting boyfriend Alex Reid, Katie was trying to explain away the fact that just months ago, she dumped him on national TV.

After walking out of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity and being told that Alex was on his way to propose, Katie told presenters Ant and Dec: “I think it’s best I’m on my own. I don’t want a relationship. I hope we [Alex] can remain friends.

Speaking about her decision to dump Alex the mother-of-three told OK! Magazine: “I knew when I said to Ant and Dec it was over it was a mistake.

“It was weird. I’m getting told all this stuff. He was being brainwashed. I was being brainwashed.

Next thing you know, she’ll be claiming that she was a victim of alien abduction! Anything for a magazine deal eh Katie?

She added:

“I knew that I wanted to be with him forever. He’s so grounded. Fame doesn’t faze him. I can be myself with Alex 100%.”

She added: “There are no egos here. Yes, I’m jealous of him, he’s jealous of me, but in a good way. I absolutely trust him.”
