Kerry Katona: How Am I An Asshole?

So in tonight’s exciting car crash edition of Kerry Katona: Crazy Career Suicide, Kerry and her husband Mark are having a row and she repeatedly asks him “How am I an asshole? How am I an asshole?”

Good God love, let me count the ways! Could it be the trolling about the house in your tracksuit? Could it be the sight of your heavily pregnant ass puffing away on cigarettes? That Mother Of The Year award never seemed more appropriate.

Could it be your frumpy, aggressive attitude and your way of treating your husband like he needs you more than you need him? “I’m the star of this relationship, and don’t you forget it.”

There are brief moments during this programme where Kerry manages to show a human side. Not enough though to make you feel sympathy for her though. She’s just too damned abrasive, not the cute-ish pop star of early Atomic Kitten or the down to earth I’m A Celebrity winner.

I think the problem with this show is that it tends to verify everything that’s written about Kerry Katona in the papers. Whether she’s going for the Katie and Peter style, warts and all fly on the wall thing I don’t know. But she’s showing far too many warts, let’s put it that way.

Kerry just comes across as an obnoxious, deeply unlikable character.

You’d think that Katona’s advisors would want to distance her from the image the tabloids have created. She had such good public opinion a few years ago that she’s all but pissed away. I would love to sit down with her publicist – the wonderful Max Clifford – and ask him what he thinks this programme is doing for Kerry’s career.

What do you folks think?

I do not think we need to answer that, she answers quite clearly on her own.
