Kerry Katona has admitted that she stayed with her horrible husband Mark Croft for so long, because she couldn’t cope with another divorce.

The former Atomic Kitten divorced her first husband Brian McFadden in 2006, after he left her for Australian singer Delta Goodrem. She married cabbie Mark Croft in 2007, but their marriage was filled with many controversies including drug scandals and bankruptcy.

Talking about why she stayed with Mark for so long, Kerry told new! magazine:

“The reason I stayed for so long was because I could not go through with another divorce,” said Kerry, 28.

“I was skint, I had no credit cards, we had kids, I had nowhere to go. No-one to turn to.”

“He isolated me from everybody. I had no friends. I became completely dependent on him. I had no phone, he had all the credit cards.

“Everybody told me to leave him. But no one can help you until you help yourself.

“Until you’ve had that kind of experience for four years, it’s hard for people to understand.”

But two failed marriages haven’t put Kerry off husbands altogether. In fact the reality TV star says that she wouldn’t rule out getting married and having more children in the future. She said:

“I would never say never to more kids.”

“I still want the marriage thing, yeah, I could do it again. I would love to do it again.

“I can’t imagine settling down with someone else and getting married and not sharing a child with them. But I know I will find it so hard to trust another man again.”

Thankfully she managed to refrain from mentioning Peter Andre for the whole interview! That’s almost unheard of!
