Kris Humphries ‘turns down Kim Kardashian’s $10 million divorce settlement’
Kim Kardashian’s basketball player ex Kris Humphries has reportedly turned down an offer of $10 million in a bid to end their divorce battle.
The pair married in 2011 but just 72 later, they split prompting Kris to allegedly claim that Kim had married him for publicity and that their marriage was fraudulent.
However, Kris is reportedly not willing to back down on his apparent claims even though Kim is said to have offered him a cool $10 million.
A source told RadarOnline: “After Kim filed for divorce, she offered Kris a $10 million payoff, with the agreement that he would not continue to pursue an annulment to their marriage on the grounds of fraud…
“Kris flatly rejected the offer because it has never been about money for him. He wants to be able to marry in a church again, with a clear conscience, when he finds someone special.
“Kris is deeply religious, and he believes that the only way he can do that is if his marriage to Kim is annulled.
“Kris wants to move on with his life just as badly as Kim does – he is constantly getting heckled by NBA players and fans – and he just wants to be able to close this disastrous chapter in his life once and for all.
“If Kim would just agree to grant him the annulment, they could both move on with their lives.”
It is thought a divorce trial may take place this summer after Kris’ basketball season ends, meaning that Kim, who is currently pregnant with her rapper boyfriend Kanye West’s baby, might give birth while still married to Kris.
It was recently rumoured that Kris had in fact demanded that Kim hand over a hefty sum of money as a divorce settlement, but sources close to the sportsman claim this is not true.
An insider said: “That absolutely never happened. Kris has given a sworn declaration that he has never asked Kim for a single dime.
“The only thing he has asked for, and continues to ask for, is for her to agree to an annulment.”
