Celebrity Big Brother finalist Lauren Harries has had her ban from This Morning lifted since appearing on the reality TV show earlier this month.
Harries made her first appearance on the popular morning TV show today (September 17), four years after she was originally banned from the show in which she insisted that the DID indeed sleep with Russell Brand, adding that she doesn’t know why he’s denying it.
Okay, so one thing at a time… you may be wondering why colourful Lauren Harries was banned from This Morning in the first place?
Back in 2009, she appeared on This Morning to talk about news stories that had been in the press at the time regarding transgender children as she had undergone a sex change in 2001. However, instead of doing her cause justice, she went a bit bat-crap and had a tiny meltdown on the show. After her bizarre behaviour, Phillip Schofield announced that she had been banned from the show.
But around nine minutes into her interview, she went a bit mad and started impersonating a Little Britain character for no apparent reason and Schofield was said to be annoyed with her because she had wasted an opportunity to talk about the matter at hand.
However, today she was welcomed back to the This Morning sofa to talk about Celebrity Big Brother and everyone waited with baited breath to see whether she would act up again.
It was during her interview on the show that she threw Russell Brand under the bus, stating that she had slept with him in the past and she would reveal all in her new book.
She told Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield: “This was the only time he’s ever had a relationship with a trans-gender. I don’t know why he’s denying it, but I know what happened and I know what I’ll be putting in my book”.
It didn’t stop with Brand either as she went on to say that she’d had relationships with other celebrities in the past as well, and they would too feature in her forthcoming book release.
She said: “The other relationships I had with celebrities will be in that. I want to keep it that way. The personal information with regards to me and Russell will be in it and if Russell doesn’t like it, that’s up to him.
“But, I know what happened. If there’s one thing you know about me, I don’t lie. What you see with me is what you get. Whatever Russell says, that’s his prerogative, but I know the truth”.
Following the revelation on This Morningy, Russell took to twitter to once again deny the claims.
He tweeted: “Mum: You wouldn’t do it with that Lauren lady- you hardly knew him!
Me: To be fair Mum that’s not stopped me in the past.”
He added: “With respect to the ol’ transgender community, I didn’t have it off with the antiques kid off Wogan. My favourite media lie ever though.”
… I wonder what Katy Perry thinks?
