After a very exciting evening of both Leona Lewis and Ray Quinn entertaining us as never before with their talented singing of phenomenal standard, Leona became the first female winner of the X Factor.

Ray’s hi lite of the evening must surely have been his singing with Westlife and Leona with Take That. Both did exceptionally well. Take That lead singer urged Simon Cowell to look after Leona as he felt she was a very special performer. There was much excitement over the cutting of her first single which will be on sale from Wednesday but is already available on the internet.

Simon Cowell proudly stated that Leona was the best contestant they have ever had on the X Factor and that she was World Class and that Britain now has a strong British contender for the world market.
