Leona Lewis Wins X Factor 2006
Leona Lewis is the first female winner of the X factor! She deserved to win, though Ray was a mighty competitor, the result has renewed my faith in the British Public!
Leona was astounding tonight, she sang the winners single as if she had written it. The best WOMAN won!

Yesyes well done Leona. But of course she did well on the winner’s single, it was originally Kelly Clarkson who has a VERY similar voice. I think it was chosed with Leona in mind. I voted Ray!

I’m so glad Leona won, she is a far superior vocal talent than any of te other contestants. She has been consistent throughgout and really deserves it!
And she got to sing with Take That! I’m sooo jealous!

I agree with blueglitter.
Leona was heads above the rest of contestants by far. I wished it was a final with Ben and Leona because ben could sing. Leona was my favourite from her first audition.
If she didn’t win it would of been a travasity

leona was absolutley outstanding on saturday with 4 performances like that she deserved to win!! i absolutely love her to bits now i cant believe she has never been noticed before! she is now my favourite singer and that song ‘a moment like this’ couldnt be more suited to her voice!
you are absolutley fantastic keep rocking girl otherwise i will be depressed forever and so will the world!! your voice and you are just fabulous! love ya xxx

I think Hayley it may yet emerge she has been noticed before and that it may well be that x factor this year has been used as a vehicle to provide greater status behind her. The other acts likely never had a fair chance.ROD.

Rod, I respect your views, but the best person won…the most talented singer out of the bunch…she was deserving of it… I think you should congratulate her…not sure why you are so anti-leona anyhow…

I do congratulate her Lola, I just dont see what some others see I guess, I would be bored at a concert of her if she’s only going to perform as on x factor, safe songs all much the same way, the X factor needs to mean someone who isnt that much like anyone else,Quite frankly from the last 3 weeks it is Ray who has shone for me and I didnt rate Ray early on, he showed determination even on dismal songs, Leona always had the safe big performance ballad but Ray has had to sing, perform, dance and put his own mark on songs to make the final, In my opinion he showed he could do entertaining TV, west end shows, up tempo and ballads songs with differing styles and when he sang with Westlife he looked so at ease he could have been a member of them, I actually think he’ll record well too,All Ive seen from Leona is the same format from week 1, she has a terrific voice and superb vocal range but thats all she’s shown over the finals and its not unique,lots of Female artistes have fantastic voices,Nikita singing the song for her Mum at the auditions had also in a different way a great voice,I believe she lost it in the themed weeks, X factor needs to mean more than just a voice,the whole entertainment package is the real x factor in an artiste.Leona was never my winner I dont like all her style of singing but respact and greatly admire her superb vocal ability but performing will be very different. The majority of people around me feel the same, a fair number on these outlets also do but I have no doubt she will be a big star but this single could end up with the hype being so huge she may struggle to emulate its success, She isnt my kind of Female singer and its as simple as that, as for GP talking out of a certain part of ones anatomy is something he clearly invented, Nasty slurs and holding against ETON Road what they all or some may be personally is far from being objective in any way so I need no guidelines from GP on what to say which may be my opinion.Im ‘not’ anti LEONA Im just not pro Leona and wont be rushing for the dire single either. In fact I doubt I would have for any of the acts as its an awful song in my view and again thats all that is my view,no way would I expect all or even the majority to agree with me but I stand on what I think.Rod.

Michelle if YOU can inly crudely and so rediculously attack personally people who dont go overboard for what you like, then YOU not anyone else is talking froma certain part of their anatomy and if you and SOME of the other diehard fans of Leona all have mouths on them like you I am glad my taste in music spans many decades and great artistes.If you are an example of a LEONA strong fan then I am very glad I am not one, although I cant deny she has a fantastic voice and vocal range, Its a pity she his acquiring such hostile and rude fans thoughh, being so warm herself. Leona you are the best singer i have ever known and you are my idol. I love you to peices because you have an amazing voice and you make me go cold when I listen to you. I really want you to go far and make loads of albums because you deserve it. What I like about you is you are a lovely person and your not like some other people that are cocky you are lovely. Kepp making albums or I will be really really really really disapointed and upset. When your new album sprit comes out i am definatly gunna get it.
