Liverpool Footballer Steven Gerard to star in new scouse reality show, Being Liverpool!
We’ve seen the likes of Essex and Chelsea’s elite paraded in the world of reality TV, but if you think that Liverpool has been covered by Desperate Scousewives, think again!
Channel 5 has today announced the commission of a new reality TV show, Being Liverpool, which is to be based around the famous Liverpool Football Club, and its players.
Being Liverpool will focus on the famous premier league team stars who have engulfed the headlines this week following the inquest verdict over the horrific Hillsborough disaster which saw 96 fans crushed to death at the ground of Sheffield Wednesday during the FA Cup semi-final in 1989.
Viewers will be given an insight into how the team is coming to terms with the departure of their beloved manager, Kenny Dalglish, and follow the leadership of newly appointed replacement, Brendan Rodgers, who took over the job back in June.
Not only will the cameras follow the team in training, but will also delve into their personal lives too, according to the Sun newspaper!
Team Captain, Steven Gerard, will play a starring role, as viewers will watch him spending some quality time at home with wife Alex Curran and their three young daughters, Lilly-Ella, eight, Lexie, six, and ten-month-old Lourdes.
Also be featured is Liverpool goalie Pepe Reina as well as Lucas Leiva as he struggles to make a comeback from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, playing Monopoly with teammate Luis Suarez.
The six-part series will begin on Channel 5 on September 21.
